Simply put, we are a group of passionate scientists, activists, city organizers, and policy experts who care about solving pollution crises and working to improve stormwater management. Our full name, ULAR WMG, stands for “The Upper Los Angeles River Watershed Management Group,” but you can call us ULAR for short.

On May 26, 2015, the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors certified the Enhanced Watershed Management Programs Draft Program Environmental Impact Report on behalf of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District ( click link for Board Report ). The draft EWMP plans will be submitted to the Regional Board before June 28, 2015 and will be Upper LA River EWMP 3.A.1 Draft June 2015 The identification of Water Quality Priorities is an important first step in the EWMP process. The Water Quality Priorities provide the basis for prioritizing implementation and monitoring activities within the EWMP and CIMP and selection and scheduling of BMPs during the RAA. 2 These four EWMPs were the North Santa Monica Bay EWMP, Upper San Gabriel River EWMP, Upper Los Angeles River EWMP, and Beach Cities EWMP.
